Part of Real Estate SEO: A Practical Operating Framework
Real Estate SEO Examples: Page Patterns and Lead Routing
Real estate SEO examples from named brokerages, portals, and data publishers show page patterns, lead routes, and controls without claiming campaign results.
What to take away
- Each named example below is a public page or program you can open, paired with the user decision it serves and the control that keeps it honest.
- Local business and real estate agent markup should represent visible, current entities rather than inventing locations or eligibility.
- These are hypothetical page programs built from public sites, not claimed rankings, traffic gains, clients, or transactions.
Real estate SEO examples are easier to copy when you can open the source page. The seven patterns below describe public programs from named brokerages, portals and data publishers. Adapt each one to the actual role, market, listing authority, and local terminology. Fair-housing duties, accessibility, privacy, platform rules, and maintenance capacity matter too.
1. Brokerage office pages: Compass, Keller Williams, RE/MAX
Compass runs an office locator that gives each branch a street address, phone number and the agents who list there. Keller Williams market center pages publish an address, phone and the office leadership. RE/MAX office pages pair the franchise address with the agents who work there, plus hours for a visit.
Office page essentials
- Correct office name and address
- Hours and phone number
- Services and accessibility info
- Team responsibility and directions
- What clients can do there
Google's Local Business structured data documentation says LocalBusiness markup can describe details such as hours and departments. It explains a build, test, release process and recommends the most specific applicable subtype and additional organization fields.
Markup eligibility and search appearance remain conditional. Put only visible, current, authorized facts in the page and markup, and validate meaning as well as syntax.
2. Practitioner profiles: Compass, Realtor.com, Zillow
Compass agent pages tie each agent to an office and, on many profiles, list a license number. Realtor.com's agent directory gives fields for years of experience, active listings and client ratings. Zillow agent profiles show past sales and reviews. Reuse those field slots on your own domain.
Give each real practitioner a distinct profile with role, brokerage relationship, license information where appropriate, and service scope. Add languages stated accurately, verifiable experience, authorship or review work, contact route, and update owner.
Practitioner profile fields
- Role and brokerage relationship
- License information where appropriate
- Service scope and accurate languages
- Verifiable experience and authorship
- Contact route and update owner
Schema.org defines RealEstateAgent as a subtype of LocalBusiness and Place. It lists inherited properties: address, opening hours, location, logo, offers.
Schema.org is a vocabulary, not a promise that a search engine supports every property or that the entity is licensed or eligible. Match type and values to the visible page. Verify current consumer-specific implementation guidance separately.
3. Active listing detail pages: Zillow, Redfin, Realtor.com
Zillow listing pages carry price history, tax history and the brokerage behind the listing. Redfin pages show price, days on market and the MLS that supplied the record. Realtor.com pages include a property history table with status changes.
Build the page from the authorized listing record: current status, price, location treatment, and property facts. Add media rights, the showing or inquiry process, update time, and the responsible office. Keep canonical and status behavior stable. Define sold, leased, withdrawn, expired, and replaced states before the first page is published.
Listing status lifecycle
- Authorized listing record
- Current status and price
- Showing or inquiry process
- Sold, leased, withdrawn, expired
- Replaced state defined
4. Neighborhood decision guides: Niche, Redfin, StreetEasy
Niche neighborhood pages grade schools, crime and cost of living, and name the source behind each grade. Redfin neighborhood guides publish a median sale price with the period it covers. StreetEasy builds New York neighborhood and building guides that link to public records.
Answer objective questions about housing stock, transport, services, public data, and boundaries with dated sources and limitations. Cover the transaction process the same way. Avoid coded descriptions of residents or who belongs. Let readers choose which factors matter.
5. Rental lead pages, when the brokerage handles rentals
Zillow Rental Manager screens applicants with credit, background and eviction reports, and the landlord sets the screening fee. Fees commonly run about $30 to $50 per adult applicant in most US markets. Apartments.com hosts online applications and lets a landlord state criteria before an applicant starts.
Explain availability sources, eligibility criteria, fees, required documents, and accommodations as allowed and required. Add the screening process, timing, fraud warnings, and contact alternatives. Keep marketing content separate from the secure application. Test the process with keyboard and assistive technology, then remove stale application links.
6. Property-management pages, when the brokerage offers the service
Greystar separates its service descriptions by property type, including multifamily, student and senior housing. FirstService Residential organizes management services by community type, from HOAs to high-rises. Lincoln Property Company routes commercial and residential inquiries to different teams.
Compare leasing, maintenance coordination, inspections, resident communication, and financial reporting on one page. Then cover emergency coverage, vendor controls, pricing basis, and exclusions. Use that page for a real service decision instead of thin pages for every keyword variation. Route the inquiry to staff who can verify jurisdiction, property type, and capacity.
7. Market methodology pages: Redfin Data Center, Zillow Research, Case-Shiller
Redfin Data Center publishes methodology notes that describe its MLS sources, geography, period and revision practice. Zillow Research attaches a methodology section to each dataset. S&P CoreLogic Case-Shiller defines its national, 10-city and 20-city composites and its reporting lag in a public methodology document.
Publish the data sources, geography, period, universe, and revisions behind recurring reports. Also publish calculations, uncertainty, author, and update schedule for them.
Link reports to this method, retain archived versions, separate market movement from business performance, and never imply a broad average predicts one property or transaction. Teams publishing a market methodology page should also keep a real estate marketing analytics record of each report's use.
From SEO visit to realtor lead
The page patterns above support lead conversion only when each visitor has an appropriate next step and someone responsible for the inquiry. These examples do not establish that a page ranks or produces leads; they remain hypothetical operating examples.
- Office and agent pagesoffer contact with the listed office or agent, and route inquiries to that person or team. Keep service area and availability current.
- Listing pagesoffer a property-specific inquiry, route it to the responsible brokerage, and verify the listing status before follow-up.
- Neighborhood guides and market reportsoffer a buyer consultation or seller conversation tied to the location or data, rather than a generic form.
- Rental and property-management pagesuse these only when the brokerage handles those services. Route rental applicants to the process owner and landlord inquiries to the responsible team; keep tenant applications separate from buyer and seller leads.
Before publishing, assign an owner to new inquiries and decide how quickly that person should respond. Track each inquiry's landing page, date, intended service, qualification, follow-up, appointment, outcome, and time to outcome. Record content and maintenance costs separately from follow-up costs, and do not treat visits as converted leads or revenue.

Turn examples into test cases
The NIST Privacy Framework starting guide describes a voluntary privacy-risk process. Use it to assign owners for real estate SEO examples; it is not legal clearance.
The W3C information and relationships explanation explains that visual relationships must be programmatically available. Apply that check to real estate SEO examples, then test the actual output.
Common questions
Are these real SEO campaign results?
No. They are hypothetical operating examples drawn from public pages, and they carry no ranking, traffic, revenue or transaction claim, and no client results.
Can one template produce all seven examples?
A shared design system may help, but each page class needs a distinct purpose, distinct fields, and distinct sources. Update events, indexability, risks, and useful material differ too.
Which page system should be built first?
Choose the verified client decision with current demand and reliable source data that the team can publish, maintain, measure, and correct consistently.
